Job Overview

L&T is hiring Software Engineers for its D&DC Land Systems team in Mumbai. The role is suitable for candidates with 0–2 years of experience who have strong programming knowledge in C and C++. The selected candidate will work on complex software systems, operating systems, debugging, distributed architectures, communication protocols, and software development tools. The position also involves supporting customer issues, performing root-cause analysis, and developing diagnostic and testing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop software using C and C++ programming languages.
  2. Work with operating systems such as Linux, VxWorks, and QNX.
  3. Develop software in multi-threaded and multi-process environments.
  4. Design and implement tools that support software development and debugging.
  5. Participate in resolving software issues reported from customer sites.
  6. Analyze system scalability and interworking issues.
  7. Perform root-cause analysis of complex system problems.
  8. Design and implement built-in diagnostics and test code.
  9. Develop and support distributed architecture systems.
  10. Work with systems involving inter-process and inter-system communication.
  11. Work with communication interfaces such as Serial, Ethernet, 1553, CAN, NMEA, and ModBus.
  12. Apply knowledge of IP protocols, VLANs, and Ethernet switching.
  13. Contribute to software development for large and complex systems.
  14. Perform software integration, debugging, and issue analysis.
  15. Coordinate with team members while managing multiple technical tasks.
