Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for configuring, troubleshooting, and monitoring Azure Database/Managed Instance services.
- Identify and implement automation to reduce live-site incidents.
- Own, triage, investigate, and resolve service issues.
- Maintain a focus on communication, documentation, and team learning during incident resolution.
- Interact with both technical and executive-level customers on escalations and service-related queries.
- Drive engineering projects and initiatives across the Azure Data team.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support live services.
- Collaborate with global teams to improve the scalability and reliability of database systems.
- Contribute to the development of AI-enabled operational database solutions.
- Build and maintain tools for performance monitoring and diagnostics.
- Work on structured and unstructured data handling across various database platforms.
- Apply best practices for coding, testing, and deploying cloud-native applications.
- Ensure security and compliance in all development efforts.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

Required Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- Experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Understanding of cloud platforms and services, especially Azure.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with automation and scripting tools.
- Familiarity with operational aspects of running live services.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
- Passion for data, scalability, and cloud-native technologies.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on learning and growth.
- Comfortable working across functional teams and geographical boundaries.
- Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools for cloud services.
