Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as a subject matter expert for configuring, troubleshooting, and monitoring Azure Database/Managed Instance services.
  2. Identify and implement automation to reduce live-site incidents.
  3. Own, triage, investigate, and resolve service issues.
  4. Maintain a focus on communication, documentation, and team learning during incident resolution.
  5. Interact with both technical and executive-level customers on escalations and service-related queries.
  6. Drive engineering projects and initiatives across the Azure Data team.
  7. Participate in on-call rotations to support live services.
  8. Collaborate with global teams to improve the scalability and reliability of database systems.
  9. Contribute to the development of AI-enabled operational database solutions.
  10. Build and maintain tools for performance monitoring and diagnostics.
  11. Work on structured and unstructured data handling across various database platforms.
  12. Apply best practices for coding, testing, and deploying cloud-native applications.
  13. Ensure security and compliance in all development efforts.
  14. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.

  4. Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems.
  5. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
