- Salary: ₹4,00,000 – ₹7,00,000 per annum (estimated for L1 role in Mumbai with 2+ years experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level network monitoring and issue identification
- Perform basic fault diagnosis and escalate issues appropriately
- Support incident management processes and workflows
- Follow documented operational and technical procedures
- Manage network monitoring and analysis tools for day-to-day operations
- Perform daily network maintenance and backup activities
- Generate monthly uptime and bandwidth utilization reports
- Analyze interface utilization and prepare periodic reports
- Troubleshoot network and application access-related issues
- Liaise with carriers and vendors to resolve network faults
- Ensure SLA maintenance and timely issue resolution
- Prepare daily, weekly, and quarterly performance reports
- Support change request processing and ticket management
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes, and faults
- Work in 24×7 rotational shifts for continuous network support
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of the ITIL framework
- Ability to perform first-level network monitoring
- Basic fault diagnosis and escalation skills
- Understanding of incident management activities
- Familiarity with operational process documentation
- Basic understanding of Ethernet technologies
- Knowledge of Spanning Tree Protocol fundamentals
- Understanding of TCP/IP and routing basics
- Familiarity with routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
- Basic understanding of Cisco IOS and CatOS
- Experience with ticket management systems
- Experience using network monitoring and management tools
- Experience coordinating with vendors and carriers
- Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration
- Ability to work in shift-based 24×7 operations
