Job Overview

ROCKWOOL Group is hiring for the position of Junior Purchase Executive at its Cheyyar, Tamil Nadu, location. The selected candidate will be responsible for purchasing raw materials, managing suppliers, negotiating prices, controlling inventory, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials required for manufacturing operations. Candidates should have knowledge of SAP, GST, import procedures, and procurement activities. This is a full-time opportunity for graduates interested in building a career in purchasing and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and other manufacturing supplies.
  2. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  4. Prepare and process purchase orders based on production requirements and inventory levels.
  5. Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  6. Resolve order-related issues, including delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
  7. Maintain suitable inventory levels and reduce excess or outdated stock.
  8. Work with production and inventory teams to forecast material requirements.
  9. Monitor market trends, material prices, and product availability.
  10. Track procurement performance, supplier efficiency, and cost savings.
  11. Ensure purchased materials meet required quality standards and specifications.
  12. Coordinate with quality control teams to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
  13. Conduct supplier audits and evaluate supplier performance.
  14. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  15. Follow company procurement policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  16. Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
  17. Prepare monthly savings reports.
  18. Maintain purchase MIS reports for inventory mapping and PR-to-PO tracking.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline.
  2. Knowledge of SAP is mandatory.
  3. Knowledge of GST and import procedures is required.
  4. Knowledge of SEZ laws is preferred.
  5. Candidates should have an understanding of purchasing and procurement activities.

  1. Knowledge of SAP and procurement processes.
