Job Overview

IQVIA is hiring a Sr Clinical DB Designer in Kochi to support clinical database design and study-related activities. The role involves interpreting study protocols, designing and updating electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs), preparing edit specifications, configuring EDC build components, and supporting database development. The candidate will work with project stakeholders, participate in design and review meetings, monitor project risks, and help ensure quality and timely delivery of assigned study components.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Interpret study protocols and understand the requirements for clinical database design.
  2. Design and update electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs).
  3. Create and update Edit Specification Documents.
  4. Prepare specifications for EDC build components such as Rights and Roles, System Settings, and Home Page.
  5. Complete the Study Authorization Form and Trial Capacity Request Form for InForm.
  6. Attend Pre-Design Meetings and Online Screen Review Meetings.
  7. Participate in Unblinded Data Review Meetings.
  8. Attend and present comments during Internal Design Review Meetings.
  9. Facilitate internal Edit Specification Review Meetings and lead discussions related to the Edit Specification Document.
  10. Design databases to collect LLRR data within the InForm database.
  11. Ensure Rights and Roles documents provide appropriate access for data entry and updates.
  12. Communicate project risks to the Data Team Lead, including risks related to project timelines.
  13. Escalate potential quality issues when identified.
  14. Complete and document all project-specific training.
  15. Stay updated with required Standard Operating Procedures.
  16. Review build timelines and provide input where required.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Bachelor of Technology.
  2. Candidates should have 5+ years of total professional experience.
  3. Candidates should have 0–2 years of relevant core technical designer experience.
  4. Candidates should be able to understand study protocols and clinical database requirements.
  5. Candidates should be willing to complete required training and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
