Job Overview

Flex is hiring an Analyst – GBS General Ledger in Chennai to support its finance operations. The role focuses on processing journal transactions, preparing financial reports, reconciling General Ledger balances, handling accounting records, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities for automation. Candidates will work with ERP systems, MS Excel, and finance teams while managing tasks accurately within standard procedures and project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process journal transactions according to standard operating procedures.
  2. Post rectification entries for errors identified by supervisors.
  3. Extract required reports from ERP systems following established procedures.
  4. Prepare and update Trial Balance, Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheet reports.
  5. Reconcile sub-module balances with the Trial Balance.
  6. Support finance functional teams with basic macros and related activities.
  7. Analyze financial data and identify opportunities for process automation.
  8. Research, review, process, and record cash and non-cash transactions.
  9. Support the preparation of financial statements for corporate consolidation.
  10. Reconcile General Ledger balances with sub-modules and the Trial Balance.
  11. Work with relevant teams to resolve reconciliation differences and accounting issues.
  12. Verify shipping documents against orders for customer invoice preparation.
  13. Support customer order approvals and system uploads when required.
  14. Prepare and review vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
  15. Assist with various audits conducted for the business unit.
  16. Work effectively on projects with strict deadlines and complex requirements.
  17. Explore automation opportunities using available departmental tools and techniques.
  18. Collaborate with IT teams on finance-related automation initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates should have 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  2. A B.Com, BBA in Finance, M.Com, or MBA in Finance qualification is required.
  3. Candidates should have a good understanding of accounting principles.
  4. Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications is required.
  5. Candidates should have good written and spoken English communication skills.
  6. Knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems is required.
  7. Candidates should be comfortable working with financial reports and accounting data.
