Salary: ₹35 – ₹45 LPA (estimated, based on Bangalore market for staff-level data science roles)

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and manage advanced data analytics models for supply chain optimization.
2. Leverage large-scale data to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven recommendations are implemented.
4. Create predictive models for customer demand, cost efficiency, and asset utilization.
5. Build digital twin simulations to test supply chain strategies before execution.
6. Conduct sensitivity analyses and design multiple business scenarios.
7. Translate data insights into clear, persuasive business narratives.
8. Productionize and scale data models with engineering teams.
9. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend optimizations.
10. Secure buy-in from business stakeholders for analytics-driven projects.
11. Mentor and coach team members in data science practices.
12. Partner with supply chain teams to enhance cost savings and service performance.
13. Support automation initiatives through advanced data science techniques.
14. Communicate insights effectively using Tableau, Looker, and other visualization tools.
15. Contribute to continuous improvement of Walmart’s global supply chain strategy.

Required Skills and Knowledge

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
2. Expertise in Python or R programming.
3. Proficiency in SQL and cloud data platforms like BigQuery.
4. Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or distributed data frameworks.
5. Strong knowledge of data visualization (Tableau, Looker).
6. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).
7. Ability to work with large and complex datasets.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
