Key Responsibilities
- Develop functional verification tests based on defined test plans.
- Drive design verification to closure using functional and code coverage metrics.
- Debug, root-cause, and resolve design failures in collaboration with design/architecture teams.
- Build SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, emulation, and silicon validation.
- Apply constrained-random and coverage-driven verification methodologies.
- Verify IP blocks using industry-standard DV techniques.
- Utilize EDA tools and scripting (Python, TCL, Perl, Shell) for tool automation.
- Ensure verification deliverables align with project timelines.
- Validate peripheral IPs like UART, SPI, I2C, and protocols such as APB, AXI.
- Document verification strategies, coverage reports, and bug tracking logs.
- Participate in architecture and micro-architecture reviews.
- Perform regression testing and maintain test suites.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of verification methodologies.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality silicon with minimal functional issues.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong foundation in computer architecture, CPU/GPU, networking, and interconnects.
- Proficiency in C/C++ verification methodologies.
- Knowledge of SystemVerilog/UVM and coverage-driven verification.
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools (simulation, debug, coverage tools).
- Scripting skills in Python, TCL, Perl, or Shell.
- Understanding of revision control systems (Git, Mercurial, SVN).
- Experience in debugging RTL using tools like Verdi (preferred).
- Familiarity with SoC design flows and verification methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Exposure to silicon validation workflows (a plus).
- Ability to manage verification schedules and deliverables.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality verification.
- Interest in CPU/GPU design environments and SoC verification.
