Job Overview
GE HealthCare is hiring a Graduate Engineer Trainee in Bengaluru to support manufacturing and quality activities for its Ultrasound and PCS products. The role provides hands-on exposure to production operations, manufacturing processes, equipment calibration and validation, quality issue resolution, technical documentation, supplier quality coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives. It is suitable for fresh engineering graduates who want to build their careers in manufacturing, production, quality, and medical device technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day manufacturing activities for Ultrasound and PCS products.
- Help maintain safe, compliant, and efficient production operations.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing and product quality issues.
- Support equipment calibration activities and maintain calibration records.
- Perform verification and validation activities for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Support installation and maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment.
- Help identify and order tools and equipment required for manufacturing operations.
- Review and clear non-conforming material reports from production.
- Work with cross-functional teams and Supplier Quality Engineering teams to resolve rejected material issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers and production teams regarding part rejections and rework activities.
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing work instructions and revision records.
- Maintain Device History Records and related documentation.
- Support engineering change communication and document distribution.
- Support training of manufacturing employees on updated processes and work instructions.
- Participate in projects focused on improving quality, cost, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Support EHS activities and help maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain capital goods inventory and ensure proper identification and traceability.
- Participate in Poka-Yoke projects involving jigs and fixtures.
- Support Kaizen and Lean manufacturing improvement initiatives.
- Follow applicable QMS, EHS, HR, and administrative procedures.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have a B.E. or B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Fresh graduates can apply.
- Candidates with up to one year of relevant experience can also apply.
