Job Overview

Synpulse is hiring a Business Analyst for its Avaloq Banking Transformation team in Pune. The selected candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery squads to understand business requirements and convert them into functional designs. The role involves working on large-scale banking transformation projects, managing requirements, supporting system testing, coordinating UAT, and ensuring successful project delivery. Candidates must have hands-on experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite and a strong background in banking or financial services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Gather business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process discussions.
  2. Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
  3. Create user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
  4. Develop Avaloq-specific functional designs.
  5. Maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
  6. Lead functional workstreams from requirement gathering to delivery.
  7. Analyse existing business processes and define improved workflows.
  8. Perform gap and impact analysis against standard Avaloq functionality.
  9. Identify opportunities to automate manual business operations.
  10. Coordinate with solution architects, product owners, and technical consultants.
  11. Manage communication between business users and development teams.
  12. Obtain stakeholder approval for requirements and functional designs.
  13. Manage project scope changes and delivery dependencies.
  14. Create and prioritise project backlogs using JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  15. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and reviews.
  16. Design and review test scenarios and test cases.
  17. Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  18. Support data migration, reconciliation, and validation activities.
  19. Assist with business readiness, training, and go-live activities.
  20. Support post-launch stabilisation and issue resolution.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 5–10 years of Business Analysis experience.
  3. At least 3 years of experience in banking or financial services.
  4. Hands-on experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite is mandatory.
  5. Experience in at least one large-scale core banking transformation project.
  6. Exposure to greenfield implementation projects.
  7. Experience working across multiple project workstreams.
  8. Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  9. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
