Job Overview

McAfee is hiring a DevOps Engineer for its Bangalore development centre. The selected candidate will work on cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, automation, and AI-assisted development. The role involves managing AWS and Kubernetes environments, building CI/CD pipelines, improving platform security, and maintaining system reliability. Candidates should have 4–6 years of experience with strong programming skills in Go and Python, along with expertise in cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Participate in engineering team meetings, sprint planning, and design reviews.
  2. Review architecture designs and code changes.
  3. Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and reliable.
  4. Troubleshoot production issues across applications and cloud infrastructure.
  5. Identify and resolve database, networking, and infrastructure problems.
  6. Improve system monitoring and observability.
  7. Develop alerting systems and operational runbooks.
  8. Implement failover and disaster recovery strategies.
  9. Conduct performance testing and release validation.
  10. Manage patching and security remediation activities.
  11. Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  12. Collaborate with SRE, Product Engineering, and InfoSec teams.
  13. Improve developer experience through self-service platform capabilities.
  14. Support cloud-native adoption and platform modernization.
