Job Overview

NVIDIA is hiring an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for its remote India team. The selected candidate will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate software delivery, improve deployment reliability, and manage infrastructure. The role involves working closely with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and development teams across different time zones, including the United States. Candidates should have strong experience in cloud platforms, Linux, scripting, infrastructure automation, and DevOps tools.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
  2. Automate software build, testing, and release processes.
  3. Identify and resolve DevOps pipeline failures during India business hours.
  4. Coordinate with global SRE and software development teams.
  5. Improve the speed, reliability, and performance of deployment systems.
  6. Automate repetitive manual tasks using scripts and tools.
  7. Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
  8. Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  9. Maintain data centre infrastructure using NetBox, Foreman, and Mellanox switches.
  10. Improve platform security through software hardening and secure credential management.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  2. At least 8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, build and release engineering, or a similar role.
  3. Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
  4. Experience managing production systems and software release processes.
  5. Ability to troubleshoot Linux and infrastructure-related issues.
  6. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with international teams.

Required Skills

  1. CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  2. Programming and scripting with Python and Bash.
  3. Cloud infrastructure management using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  4. Version control tools such as Git, GitLab, Perforce, and Gerrit.
  5. Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Packer.
  6. Configuration management using Ansible.
  7. Automation and deployment platforms such as StackStorm, Argo CD, and Flux CD.
  8. Docker and Kubernetes.
  9. Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting.
  10. Understanding of software testing, deployment pipelines, and release management.
  11. Knowledge of secure credential management and infrastructure security.
  12. Go programming experience is an added advantage.
