Job Overview

Marsh is hiring an AI Native Intern to help develop, integrate, test, and support AI-powered applications for its insurance broking and employee benefits business. The role offers practical experience with generative AI, large language models, programming, and modern software development tools. Selected candidates will work with different teams to build useful AI solutions, validate AI-generated outputs, and improve business processes. This opportunity is suitable for 2027 engineering graduates who have programming knowledge, understand AI concepts, and are interested in building real-world AI applications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work with different teams to design, develop, test, and support AI-powered applications.
  2. Use AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Gemini to improve development work.
  3. Integrate large language model APIs into software applications and workflows.
  4. Create and improve prompts to generate accurate and useful AI responses.
  5. Check AI-generated outputs for correctness, relevance, security, privacy, and performance.
  6. Participate in the complete software development process, from planning and design to deployment and support.
  7. Document technical decisions, design assumptions, and validation methods.
  8. Identify opportunities to improve business processes using AI technologies.
  9. Follow software engineering practices and Agile development methods.
  10. Support testing, monitoring, and maintenance of AI-enabled solutions.
  11. Learn new tools, technologies, and development methods as project requirements change.
  12. Ensure AI solutions meet business needs and follow quality and security standards.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
  2. Applicants must be graduating in 2027.
  3. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks is required in graduation and post-graduation, where applicable.
  4. Candidates must not have any active backlogs.
  5. Applicants should have hands-on exposure to at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
  6. Candidates must understand basic AI, machine learning, and generative AI concepts.
  7. Practical experience with AI through a project, prototype, workflow, or use case is required.
  8. Candidates should have working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
  9. Applicants must be comfortable working in a hybrid setup with at least three office days per week in Pune.
  10. Candidates may need to work in a 24×7 shift environment when required.

Required Skills

  1. Basic programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, or similar languages.
  2. Understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI.
  3. Knowledge of large language models, prompting, retrieval, and AI evaluation.
  4. Prompt engineering and the ability to improve AI-generated responses.
  5. Ability to review and verify AI-generated code and outputs.
  6. Understanding of AI limitations, common errors, and possible failure modes.
  7. Basic knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
  8. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  9. Awareness of AI security risks, data privacy, and responsible AI practices.
  10. Familiarity with APIs, web development, server-side programming, or DevOps tools is an advantage.
