Job Overview

Cohere Health is hiring an Associate Software Engineer in Hyderabad to work on healthcare technology powered by AI/ML and advanced rules engines. The role focuses on developing cloud platforms and web applications that help improve the prior authorization process. The selected candidate will contribute across the software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and production support. The role also provides exposure to backend, frontend, databases, cloud technologies, and AI-driven healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contribute to the technical and functional roadmap of the engineering team.
  2. Work with cross-functional teams to build healthcare automation solutions.
  3. Support the development of rules-based and AI-driven applications.
  4. Participate in technical design discussions and provide data-driven inputs.
  5. Research and implement new technologies and services that improve development efficiency.
  6. Contribute to feature design, development, testing, and delivery.
  7. Develop and support cloud-based platforms and web applications.
  8. Work across different parts of the platform, including databases and frontend applications.
  9. Participate in regular engineering releases and production support activities.
  10. Collaborate with product and design teams to build user-friendly applications.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
  2. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
  3. Candidates should have 0–3 years of full-time software development experience.
  4. Proficiency in either Java or Python is required.
  5. Candidates should have exposure to React and JavaScript.
  6. Familiarity with version control, unit testing, and CI/CD practices is required.
  7. Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud development is expected.
  8. Candidates should understand relational and NoSQL databases.
  9. Ability to work across the complete software development lifecycle is required.
  10. Candidates should be able to work independently and learn new technologies quickly.
