Key Responsibilities
- Peruse requirements documents and design test cases for new features and impacted areas.
- Execute new feature and regression tests manually as needed for product releases.
- Identify and communicate critical issues effectively and timely.
- Use bug tracking platforms such as JIRA or Bugzilla for defect reporting.
- Identify automatable cases and prioritize high ROI automation.
- Develop automation code using Python, Go, or Java to improve test coverage.
- Execute, monitor, and debug automation test runs.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely bug fixes.
- Increase knowledge of cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
- Perform non-functional testing (performance, stress, soak).
- Conduct RESTful API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline automation using tools such as TeamCity or Jenkins.
- Work with Linux systems (git repos, user management, network configuration).
- Explore container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Gain exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, and service monitoring tools.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 1-4 years of experience in a relevant SDET role.
- Strong fundamentals in programming (Python, Go preferred).
- Hands-on experience in RESTful API testing (Postman or similar).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, etc.).
- Familiarity with AWS services (S3, EC2, EBS, EKS, IAM) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps.
- Solid Linux systems knowledge (git setup, user management, etc.).
- Experience in non-functional testing (performance, load).
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts is desirable.
- Analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and collaborative attitude.
