Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts based on functional and technical designs.
- Execute test cases and log, track, and report software defects.
- Perform root cause analysis for identified defects.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to enhance product quality.
- Ensure all software releases meet internal quality standards.
- Participate in test planning and strategy sessions.
- Validate functionality through regression and integration testing.
- Create and maintain accurate test documentation.
- Utilize version control tools like Git or SVN for test script management.
- Support the automation framework and enhance its functionality.
- Work closely with the QA team to ensure consistency in testing.
- Conduct performance and reliability testing as needed.
- Report test metrics and progress to stakeholders.
- Participate in product reviews and provide quality insights.
- Stay updated on emerging testing tools and methodologies.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and SDLC.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java or J2EE with Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Exposure to web/application servers like Tomcat.
- Understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience using unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
- Hands-on with version control systems (Git/SVN).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
