Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for telecom software stacks.
- Perform bug fixing, documentation, and technical support in assigned areas.
- Deliver software components on time while meeting quality benchmarks.
- Adhere to project-specific guidelines, checklists, and organizational processes.
- Share regular progress updates and status reports with team leads.
- Participate in test automation using scripting languages such as Python and Perl.
- Understand and execute protocol stack test cases for 2G/3G/LTE/5G technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for interoperability testing.
- Utilize test equipment such as Anritsu and Keysight tools for validation.
- Conduct log analysis, core dump analysis, and trace interpretation.
- Perform regression testing and troubleshoot software issues independently.
- Contribute to customer-specific platform testing and configuration.
- Maintain test documentation, logs, and release notes for software builds.
- Follow continuous learning paths through training, self-study, and technical assessments.
- Support internal and external project teams with debugging and field testing.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Hands-on knowledge in 2G/3G/4G/5G protocol stack testing.
- Familiarity with modem/UE testing and network interoperability.
- Proficient in scripting using Python, Perl, Shell, or TCL.
- Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications and network signaling.
- Experience with tools such as QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Prism.
- Knowledge of automation tools like RTD or equivalent.
- Core dump and trace log analysis capabilities.
- Experience working on Linux-based platforms.
- Strong fundamentals in telecom Layer 2, Layer 3, and NAS protocols.
- Understanding of network vendor test methodologies (Ericsson, Nokia, etc.).
- Ability to work under close supervision and defined procedures.
- Familiarity with internal and customer-specific telecom platforms.
- Good communication and technical documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Exposure to SatCom and VSAT technologies is a plus.
