Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for telecom software stacks.
  2. Perform bug fixing, documentation, and technical support in assigned areas.
  3. Deliver software components on time while meeting quality benchmarks.
  4. Adhere to project-specific guidelines, checklists, and organizational processes.
  5. Share regular progress updates and status reports with team leads.
  6. Participate in test automation using scripting languages such as Python and Perl.
  7. Understand and execute protocol stack test cases for 2G/3G/LTE/5G technologies.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for interoperability testing.
  9. Utilize test equipment such as Anritsu and Keysight tools for validation.
  10. Conduct log analysis, core dump analysis, and trace interpretation.
  11. Perform regression testing and troubleshoot software issues independently.
  12. Contribute to customer-specific platform testing and configuration.
  13. Maintain test documentation, logs, and release notes for software builds.
  14. Follow continuous learning paths through training, self-study, and technical assessments.
  15. Support internal and external project teams with debugging and field testing.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Hands-on knowledge in 2G/3G/4G/5G protocol stack testing.
  2. Familiarity with modem/UE testing and network interoperability.
  3. Proficient in scripting using Python, Perl, Shell, or TCL.
  4. Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications and network signaling.
  5. Experience with tools such as QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Prism.
  6. Knowledge of automation tools like RTD or equivalent.
  7. Core dump and trace log analysis capabilities.
  8. Experience working on Linux-based platforms.
  9. Strong fundamentals in telecom Layer 2, Layer 3, and NAS protocols.
  10. Understanding of network vendor test methodologies (Ericsson, Nokia, etc.).
  11. Ability to work under close supervision and defined procedures.
  12. Familiarity with internal and customer-specific telecom platforms.
  13. Good communication and technical documentation skills.
  14. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  15. Exposure to SatCom and VSAT technologies is a plus.
