Experience: 0-1 year in software development, specifically in device drivers and embedded systems
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Salary: ₹4,00,000 – ₹10,00,000 per annum (estimated)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and unit test device drivers for ARM SoC.
- Bring up and validate driver features on new ARM SoCs.
- Optimize driver code for maximum performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs during product verification and customer testing.
- Create and maintain comprehensive driver documentation.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to resolve technical issues.
- Integrate device drivers into BSP (Board Support Package) and bootloaders.
- Work with various build frameworks like Yocto, QSDK, and PRPL OS.
- Implement JTAG and emulator-based debugging.
- Support product lifecycle from initial development to post-release.
- Perform code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to industry standards.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in embedded systems and SoC design.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
- Prepare test plans and test cases for driver validation.
- Continuously improve driver performance through profiling and optimization.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong programming skills in C.
- Experience with Linux operating system and kernel programming.
- Understanding of device driver development and board support packages (BSP).
- Knowledge of ARM/DSP processor architecture.
- Familiarity with JTAG, emulators, and low-level debugging.
- Experience with RDK-B, Yocto build framework, QSDK, or PRPL OS (preferred).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems design.
- Familiarity with bootloader development.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
