Experience: 0-1 year in software development, specifically in device drivers and embedded systems
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Salary: ₹4,00,000 – ₹10,00,000 per annum (estimated)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and unit test device drivers for ARM SoC.
  2. Bring up and validate driver features on new ARM SoCs.
  3. Optimize driver code for maximum performance and efficiency.
  4. Troubleshoot and fix bugs during product verification and customer testing.
  5. Create and maintain comprehensive driver documentation.
  6. Collaborate with hardware and software teams to resolve technical issues.
  7. Integrate device drivers into BSP (Board Support Package) and bootloaders.
  8. Work with various build frameworks like Yocto, QSDK, and PRPL OS.
  9. Implement JTAG and emulator-based debugging.
  10. Support product lifecycle from initial development to post-release.
  11. Perform code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to industry standards.
  12. Stay updated with the latest trends in embedded systems and SoC design.
  13. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
  14. Prepare test plans and test cases for driver validation.
  15. Continuously improve driver performance through profiling and optimization.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Strong programming skills in C.
  2. Experience with Linux operating system and kernel programming.
  3. Understanding of device driver development and board support packages (BSP).
  4. Knowledge of ARM/DSP processor architecture.
  5. Familiarity with JTAG, emulators, and low-level debugging.
  6. Experience with RDK-B, Yocto build framework, QSDK, or PRPL OS (preferred).
  7. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Basic understanding of embedded systems design.
  11. Familiarity with bootloader development.
  12. Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus.
  13. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  14. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  15. Strong organizational and time management skills.
