Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop proficiency in tools such as Java, Python, SQL, and Microsoft Azure.
  2. Learn Entity Relational Database Models for enterprise database systems.
  3. Apply Data Warehousing design principles to build Data Marts and De-normalized views.
  4. Leverage Big Data technologies like Hadoop, R, and Python for complex problem-solving.
  5. Gain understanding of the US Healthcare domain and related data systems.
  6. Work under the supervision of senior engineers to gather project requirements.
  7. Assist in designing and creating data models for analytics and BI projects.
  8. Support the preparation of project plans and activity lists for implementation.
  9. Participate in client communications for data exploration and solution design.
  10. Document metadata information for project data sources.
  11. Collaborate with enterprise teams to extract and understand data stored in data lakes.
  12. Support BI and Data Science teams in designing engineering approaches.
  13. Design and develop Data Models, Data Marts, and Quality Control processes.
  14. Implement quality assurance checks around analytical data sets.
  15. Work with senior members to enhance team capabilities and contribute to innovation.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  3. Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or Teradata.
  4. Understanding of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or HBase.
  5. Basic experience with Unix shell scripting.
  6. Ability to use GitHub for configuration management.
  7. Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts like Fact tables and Schema design.
  8. Good understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  9. Strong communication and documentation skills.

  13. Knowledge of software testing and data validation.
