Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user specifications and translate them into technical requirements.
- Design, code, test, and debug scalable Java-based applications.
- Develop solutions using Spring Boot and open-source technologies.
- Create and consume RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
- Manage multithreaded applications ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Work on database design and optimization using DB2 or SQL Server.
- Participate in test-driven development and continuous integration processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams across time zones.
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned modules and features.
- Contribute to system architecture and design discussions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
- Integrate with Apache Kafka, Camel, and other enterprise middleware systems.
- Engage in agile development cycles and sprint reviews.
- Mentor junior developers and assist in peer code reviews.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure code quality standards.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Hands-on experience with multithreaded applications.
- Strong understanding of design patterns and software architecture principles.
- Experience with RESTful and SOAP service development.
- Database management experience (DB2, SQL Server preferred).
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Camel, and message-driven architectures.
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with MongoDB and WebSphere MQ (preferred).
- Understanding of agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Python or Perl (added advantage).
- Familiarity with cloud deployment environments.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.
