IQVIA is seeking a Clinical Database Designer to support the setup and configuration of electronic clinical trial databases. This role involves designing eCRFs, defining edit checks, and ensuring quality and compliance with study requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret clinical study protocols to support database design
- Design and update eCRFs (Electronic Case Report Forms)
- Create and maintain Edit Specification Documents
- Define system configurations including roles, settings, and dashboards
- Complete Study Authorization Forms and Trial Capacity Request Forms
- Participate in Pre-Design and Screen Review Meetings
- Present and review feedback during Internal Design Review sessions
- Lead Edit Specification Review Meetings and drive documentation discussions
- Configure databases to capture LLRR (Last Level Review Ready) data
- Ensure proper role-based access settings in the InForm database
- Report project risks to the Data Team Lead proactively
- Escalate potential quality issues and gaps in the process
- Ensure compliance with training and SOP requirements
- Provide feedback on database build timelines
- Support cross-functional teams in ensuring database readiness for study execution
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and database structures
- Proficiency in electronic data capture systems like InForm
- 0–2 years of direct experience in database design; total 5+ years of professional experience
- Ability to interpret protocols and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with GCP and clinical data management standards
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
