Qualification: BCA, MCA, B.Sc., M.Sc. in Computer Science or related degree
Experience: 0–1 year (Freshers eligible)
Salary: ₹3.5–5.5 LPA (estimated for freshers in QA/testing roles at IQVIA)
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze business and functional requirements for different applications.
- Assist in preparing detailed test plans aligned with project requirements.
- Write, review, and execute test cases for manual testing.
- Perform different types of testing including functional, regression, smoke, UI, and performance testing.
- Contribute to automation testing initiatives using industry-standard tools.
- Track, log, and manage software defects using defect tracking systems.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Assist in creating reusable test data and maintaining test environments.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities with stakeholders.
- Provide detailed reports on test execution and defect status.
- Identify areas for test automation and process improvements.
- Ensure testing is performed within timelines and project deadlines.
- Document test results and contribute to knowledge repositories.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC) and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong foundation in manual testing techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with functional, regression, and performance testing concepts.
- Basic understanding of SQL queries for data validation.
- Exposure to Agile methodology and collaborative development.
- Good knowledge of defect tracking and reporting tools.
- Awareness of automation frameworks such as Selenium or similar tools.
- Ability to review and understand business requirement documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail in test case writing and execution.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Willingness to learn automation, performance, and API testing.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
