Qualification: BCA, MCA, B.Sc., M.Sc. in Computer Science or related degree
Experience: 0–1 year (Freshers eligible)
Salary: ₹3.5–5.5 LPA (estimated for freshers in QA/testing roles at IQVIA)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Understand and analyze business and functional requirements for different applications.
  2. Assist in preparing detailed test plans aligned with project requirements.
  3. Write, review, and execute test cases for manual testing.
  4. Perform different types of testing including functional, regression, smoke, UI, and performance testing.
  5. Contribute to automation testing initiatives using industry-standard tools.
  6. Track, log, and manage software defects using defect tracking systems.
  7. Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot reported issues.
  8. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  9. Assist in creating reusable test data and maintaining test environments.
  10. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities with stakeholders.
  11. Provide detailed reports on test execution and defect status.
  12. Identify areas for test automation and process improvements.
  13. Ensure testing is performed within timelines and project deadlines.
  14. Document test results and contribute to knowledge repositories.
  15. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC) and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  2. Strong foundation in manual testing techniques and practices.
  3. Familiarity with functional, regression, and performance testing concepts.
  4. Basic understanding of SQL queries for data validation.
  5. Exposure to Agile methodology and collaborative development.
  6. Good knowledge of defect tracking and reporting tools.
  7. Awareness of automation frameworks such as Selenium or similar tools.
  8. Ability to review and understand business requirement documents.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Attention to detail in test case writing and execution.
  12. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
  13. Willingness to learn automation, performance, and API testing.
  14. Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
  15. Collaborative mindset with strong team-oriented behavior.
