Qualification: BE, BTech, ME, MTech, Dual Degree, PhD (Minimum 70% or 7 CGPA)
Salary (Estimated): INR 40,000 – 60,000 per month (typical for IBM Research Interns)
Duration: May 2026 – August 2026 (Maximum 3 months)
Work Type: Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work on real research projects in AI, automation, hybrid cloud, or quantum.
  2. Collaborate with IBM Research mentors on technical tasks.
  3. Write clean and efficient Python code.
  4. Analyze large datasets for research purposes.
  5. Use ML and deep learning frameworks for model development.
  6. Build prototypes for research ideas.
  7. Conduct experiments and document results.
  8. Support development of scalable AI models.
  9. Contribute to algorithms for classification and prediction tasks.
  10. Work on unstructured data processing.
  11. Use Jupyter notebooks and Git for development.
  12. Participate in discussions on AI risks and safe deployment.
  13. Support research on enterprise AI and foundation models.
  14. Contribute to research papers, demos, or technical reports.
  15. Assist in testing and evaluating AI models.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Strong Python skills with Pandas and NumPy.
  2. Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  3. Understanding of linear algebra and statistics.
  4. Experience with AI and ML fundamentals.
  5. Familiarity with supervised and unsupervised learning.
  6. Basic deep learning knowledge.
  7. Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  8. Ability to work with large datasets.
  9. Hands-on with Jupyter Notebook and VS Code.
  10. Understanding of neural networks and embeddings.
  11. Familiarity with LangChain or Agent frameworks.
  12. Understanding of LLMs and foundation models.
  13. Knowledge of data processing for unstructured inputs.
  14. Experience with Git for version control.
  15. Awareness of risks in AI systems.
