Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Experience: 3–6 years in data engineering, big data, or related roles
Salary: ₹12–20 LPA (based on experience and industry standards)

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
2. Work with large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms to ensure scalability.
3. Optimize ETL workflows to improve efficiency and performance.
4. Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to prepare data for AI/ML models.
5. Implement data warehousing solutions using modern platforms like Snowflake or Redshift.
6. Ensure high-quality data ingestion from diverse sources, including APIs and streaming data.
7. Build and maintain feature stores for ML applications.
8. Perform data validation, cleaning, and transformation to ensure reliability.
9. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
10. Partner with business units to define data requirements and solutions.
11. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to resolve production issues.
12. Contribute to infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform or Kubernetes.
13. Implement security and compliance measures for sensitive datasets.
14. Document data engineering processes and best practices.
15. Continuously improve data infrastructure to align with business needs.

Required Skills and Knowledge

1. Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
2. Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
3. Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or Hadoop.
4. Knowledge of ETL tools and workflow orchestrators like Airflow or NiFi.
5. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
6. Familiarity with data warehousing technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
7. Understanding of streaming frameworks (Kafka, Kinesis, or Flink).
8. Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
9. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
10. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
11. Experience in API integration and data ingestion methods.
12. Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance.
13. Exposure to MLOps and collaboration with AI/ML teams.
14. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
15. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional projects.
