Key Responsibilities

  1. Review documentation for corporations, charities, and individuals according to jurisdictional policies.
  2. Perform KYC and CDD checks, raising requests for missing or additional documents.
  3. Conduct enhanced due diligence for high-risk entities and clients.
  4. Verify bank accounts, beneficiaries, and entity structures.
  5. Perform RDC and sanctions screening to identify adverse media and compliance risks.
  6. Summarize findings in narrative reports and recommend next steps.
  7. Assign risk ratings and perform due diligence based on predefined procedures.
  8. Complete customer and entity reviews within established timelines.
  9. Monitor compliance issues and support resolution within SLA standards.
  10. Stay updated with evolving AML/KYC regulations and update review processes accordingly.
  11. Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure consistent due diligence practices.
  12. Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  13. Resolve routine problems through established guidelines and precedent.
  14. Support internal and external audits related to compliance activities.
  15. Contribute to maintaining a strong compliance culture within the organization.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
  2. Prior experience in AML, KYC, compliance, audit, or investigations.
  3. Strong knowledge of KYC and CDD documentation processes.
  4. Familiarity with customer onboarding and regulatory compliance checks.
  5. Experience in sanction screening and adverse media analysis.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  8. Ability to interpret and evaluate evidence from multiple systems.
  9. Understanding of entity structures such as charities, SPVs, financial institutions, and corporates.
  10. Critical thinking with the ability to resolve discrepancies independently.
  11. Knowledge of AML/KYC controls and related systems.
  12. Hands-on experience with Actimize, RDC, Norkom, Lexis Nexis, Bridger XG, or similar tools.
  13. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  14. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  15. Knowledge of financial crime compliance frameworks and international regulatory requirements.
