Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform threat modeling for enterprise and SaaS IT assets.
  2. Understand business processes, application architecture, and IT infrastructure.
  3. Conduct in-depth threat assessments using STRIDE, VAST, and Attack Tree methods.
  4. Provide subject matter expertise on security threats in application architecture.
  5. Evaluate and recommend security controls to mitigate risks.
  6. Assess likelihood and impact of threats, determining countermeasures.
  7. Apply Information Security Policy and industry standards (OWASP, NIST, CIS).
  8. Guide application teams in building secure products.
  9. Ensure governance process for issue tracking and closure.
  10. Validate and implement security improvement actions.
  11. Provide feedback to improve threat modeling tools and processes.
  12. Promote awareness of security issues among teams through training.
  13. Stay updated on emerging technologies like ZTNA, LCNC, and AI/ML.
  14. Contribute to process maturity through industry best practices.
  15. Assist with security assessments for cloud, APIs, and microservices.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Strong understanding of web application security risks (OWASP Top-10).
  2. Knowledge of security controls for data usage, storage, and transmission.
  3. Familiarity with threat modeling methodologies (STRIDE, VAST, Attack Tree).
  4. Experience in risk management and vulnerability assessment.
  5. Understanding of information security policies and standards.
  6. Familiarity with network access, cryptography, and IAM (OAuth, SAML, OpenID).
  7. Knowledge of cloud security and API security.
  8. Understanding of microservices and database security (SQL/NoSQL).
  9. Knowledge of Google Cloud security resources (Cloud Run, Redis Pub/Sub).
  10. Strong knowledge of networking and network security architecture.
  11. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and ethics in cybersecurity.
  12. Ability to evaluate information reliability and relevance.
  13. Analytical, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  14. Experience with Agile practices and SDLC.
  15. Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, Pentest+ are highly desirable.
