Key Responsibilities

  1. Deploy and manage big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Sqoop.
  2. Work with streaming frameworks such as Kafka.
  3. Design and build ETL pipelines using NiFi.
  4. Develop and optimize OO programming solutions in Python, PySpark, Java, and Scala.
  5. Manage and troubleshoot Hadoop Ecosystem components (HDFS, Yarn, MapReduce, Hive, Impala).
  6. Perform Linux and Unix-based scripting and command-line operations.
  7. Debug and resolve Hadoop and Hive job failures.
  8. Administer Hadoop using Cloudera tools.
  9. Create and maintain design documentation and process manuals.
  10. Implement large, scalable, distributed systems.
  11. Debug production issues with standard command-line tools.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  13. Optimize data processing workflows and system performance.
  14. Contribute to architecture decisions and best practices.
  15. Stay updated on emerging big data technologies and frameworks.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong experience with Pyspark, Python, Hadoop, Kafka
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix, SQL, and Shell scripting
  • Hands-on experience with the Hadoop Ecosystem (HDFS, Yarn, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Impala)
  • Knowledge of deploying scalable distributed systems
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot data processing workflows
