Key Responsibilities
- Process payment items strictly adhering to procedures and cut-off times.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of cash, valuables, and electronic transactions.
- Handle client enquiries and cash-related investigations before and after execution.
- Maintain end-of-day checklists and records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support the team in day-to-day operations and escalate issues where needed.
- Communicate process clarifications to the team from sending locations.
- Ensure proper backups are created within the department.
- Document and collate process-related issues to share with management.
- Ensure training and onboarding of new recruits as per training modules.
- Conduct self-assessments and departmental checks to identify control lapses.
- Escalate process-related ambiguities promptly to supervisors.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and operational innovation.
- Assist the manager in preparing various reports and MIS dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with internal regulations and external industry guidelines.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including front office and clients, as required.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Clear understanding of global payments processing.
- Strong working knowledge of SWIFT messaging systems.
- Familiarity with operations risk and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage time-critical and complex transactions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of payment investigations and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of banking operations and settlement cycles.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools for reporting and documentation.
