Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and build data pipelines on Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
  2. Develop and optimize complex ETL workflows.
  3. Work with database management systems for structured and unstructured data.
  4. Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for large-scale datasets.
  5. Use Python scripting to automate data workflows.
  6. Consume and integrate APIs into data solutions.
  7. Perform source-to-target data mapping.
  8. Monitor data systems for performance and resolve bottlenecks.
  9. Troubleshoot and fix data-related issues in production.
  10. Collaborate with analytics and business teams for reporting solutions.
  11. Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
  12. Apply cloud best practices for scalability and reliability.
  13. Participate in Agile development processes.
  14. Document technical designs and ETL processes.
  15. Support migration of legacy data systems to cloud-native architectures.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
  2. Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data modeling.
  3. Expertise in SQL with ability to handle complex queries.
  4. Experience with Python for data engineering tasks.
  5. Familiarity with API integration and data ingestion frameworks.
  6. Knowledge of big data tools (Hadoop, Spark preferred).
  7. Understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
  8. Familiarity with data governance and security practices.
  9. Hands-on experience with source-to-target mapping.
  10. Ability to optimize ETL processes for performance and cost.
  11. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
  12. Knowledge of real-time data streaming solutions.
  13. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
  14. Strong communication and documentation skills.
  15. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
