Job Summary

Cognizant is looking for a Process Executive – HC with 0 to 2 years of experience to join our growing team. This role requires mandatory technical skills in MS Excel and domain experience in Provider and Payer. The position is work-from-home and involves night shifts. Proficiency in English (Read/Write/Speak) is required.

Responsibilities

1. Data Management & Analysis

  • Perform data entry and analysis using MS Excel to support various healthcare processes.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across multiple platforms.
  • Organize, validate, and maintain large datasets with efficiency.
  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, and missing information and take corrective actions.
  • Generate reports, summaries, and insights from healthcare data.

2. Process Optimization & Collaboration

  • Work closely with team members, supervisors, and stakeholders to improve workflow.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in healthcare processes and suggest improvements.
  • Handle provider and payer-related tasks with precision and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Maintain data security and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA and compliance standards.

3. Communication & Compliance

  • Effectively communicate with team members, managers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in team discussions, feedback sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.

4. Healthcare Project Support

  • Provide support for multiple healthcare-related projects as required.
  • Assist in documentation, report preparation, and process audits.
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and process improvement initiatives.

5. Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Improve technical and domain knowledge to enhance performance.
  • Assist new team members with onboarding, mentoring, and training.
  • Learn and adapt to new tools, software, and process changes.

6. Problem-Solving & Escalation

  • Identify challenges, inconsistencies, and process gaps, and take proactive measures to resolve them.
  • Escalate complex issues and bottlenecks to senior team members or management.
  • Offer suggestions for automation and process enhancements to reduce manual work.
  • Ensure smooth operations and compliance with industry regulations and client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Analysis, and Formulas).
  • Domain Experience: Previous experience in Provider and Payer processes is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent English proficiency (Reading, Writing, and Speaking).
  • Analytical Ability: Ability to handle complex data, identify patterns, and generate reports.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented setting.
  • Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Certifications Required (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

  • Certification in MS Excel or a related field.
  • Training or certification in healthcare data processing is an added advantage.
