Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework aligned with industry and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with data quality and records management metrics across the organization.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to data governance and control gaps.
- Lead the implementation of a records management program covering storage, retention, retrieval, and disposal.
- Align data governance practices with overall bank strategy and business objectives.
- Provide training and guidance on governance standards across teams and departments.
- Support remediation of regulatory findings associated with data governance.
- Enhance data lineage and data quality tooling for better sustainability.
- Partner with business and technology teams globally to enable governance across value streams.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose new policies or procedures to improve governance controls.
- Perform advanced analysis on large datasets from multiple sources to generate insights.
- Guide team members on structured assignments and cross-functional collaborations.
- Communicate complex data-related information clearly to different stakeholders.
- Take ownership for managing risks and strengthening internal governance frameworks.

Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and associated methodologies.
- Experience in data controls, lineage, and records management.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting, particularly in retail or banking domains.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and data warehouse systems.
- Proficiency in SQL, analytics tools, and data management software.
- Solid understanding of risk management within regulated environments.
- Ability to proactively drive organizational change.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, especially with senior leaders.
- Hands-on experience with data lineage and quality tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address governance-related challenges.
