Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Salary: ₹8 LPA – ₹16 LPA (Estimated based on industry standards)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality front-end software solutions.
- Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers.
- Participate in code reviews and encourage best practices.
- Implement secure coding practices to protect sensitive data.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and frameworks.
- Perform effective unit testing for software reliability.
- Apply industry-aligned engineering methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with Barclays’ coding and risk control standards.
- Work with version control tools such as Git, SVN, or CVS.
- Integrate solutions with backend services and APIs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Guide and mentor junior team members when required.
- Engage in problem-solving to resolve technical challenges.
- Support inspection readiness, risk management, and compliance efforts.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in React, Redux, or Angular
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, or SQL
- Familiarity with web services (SOAP & REST)
- Experience with application servers (JBoss, Tomcat)
- Version control knowledge (Git, SVN, CVS)
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Awareness of secure coding practices
- Knowledge of backend technologies (Spring, Java, Hibernate) is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Problem-solving and debugging expertise
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks
- Risk and compliance awareness in software development
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology trends
