Key Responsibilities

  1. Code in GOSU and develop Guidewire Cloud solutions.
  2. Design and implement integration components, plug-ins, and business rules.
  3. Develop programs that call Guidewire application APIs.
  4. Collaborate with developers across onshore and offshore teams.
  5. Estimate work requests with appropriate confidence.
  6. Assist in solution design and prototyping.
  7. Help maintain development coding standards.
  8. Support defect resolution during testing phases.
  9. Participate as a member of the Application Support and Maintenance Team.
  10. Implement and document changes per approved SDLC and development standards.
  11. Conduct unit testing to ensure code quality before system testing.
  12. Provide technical oversight of problem resolution and root cause analysis.
  13. Proactively suggest process and technology improvements.
  14. Communicate effectively within a distributed project team.
  15. Report to the Digital Factory Release Train Engineer.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Coding experience in XML and GOSU.
  • Programming with JavaScript, Java, C#, C, or C++.
  • Experience in React.js and Node.js development.
  • Familiarity with IDEs like Eclipse or RAD.
  • Thorough understanding of database concepts and SQL/MySQL.
  • Experience integrating Python components with Web APIs.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with Guidewire Policy Center and Billing Center.
  • Knowledge of data structures, JSON, XML, CSV formats.
  • Experience building financial calculation components.
  • Understanding of Security API interfaces (JWT, HMAC tokens).
  • Exposure to JIRA, Agile methodologies, GIT, SVN, TFS.
  • Test Driven Development knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure desirable).
  • Agile, SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps knowledge.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
