Location: Remote (Onboarding in Delhi or Bangalore)
Qualification: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Internship Duration: 6 Months (Full-time, Paid)
Onboarding: In-person (January 2026) with expenses covered
Salary (Estimated): ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 per month (based on Indian industry standards for backend engineering interns)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop backend systems supporting Atlan’s app framework and integrations.
  2. Build and scale connectors across the modern data ecosystem.
  3. Contribute to the Metastore service powering metadata management.
  4. Help develop Atlan’s Metadata Lakehouse using Apache Iceberg.
  5. Work on cloud-native infrastructure like Kubernetes and Helm.
  6. Improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
  7. Participate in building AI-native features integrated within Atlan’s products.
  8. Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving backend issues.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams.
  10. Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented backend code.
  11. Contribute to observability, monitoring, and automated maintenance systems.
  12. Participate in operator rollouts and service isolation improvements.
  13. Test and deploy backend solutions with reliability.
  14. Assist in building backup and recovery workflows for platform stability.
  15. Support ongoing innovation in data governance and collaboration.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  1. Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Java, Python, Go).
