Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand operations across Payment Risk teams.
- Design and develop robust dashboards using SQL, Excel, Tableau, or QuickSight.
- Perform data analysis and create automated scripts using Python or R.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into data-driven insights.
- Maintain and deliver periodic business metrics and KPIs to leadership.
- Create compelling data visualizations and reports identifying key trends.
- Execute cross-functional analytical projects and present findings clearly.
- Use advanced statistical methods including regression and forecasting models.
- Query large-scale datasets using SQL and ETL pipelines.
- Partner with engineering and business teams for scalable solutions.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Monitor metrics to detect anomalies and root causes.
- Document and automate recurring data analysis processes.
- Provide business insights to influence key decisions across Amazon.
- Collaborate with analytics managers to standardize and improve data solutions.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Advanced SQL expertise and experience with complex joins
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Proficiency with BI tools (QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VBA, data linking)
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or R
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with large-scale databases
- Knowledge of analytical/statistical concepts (e.g., ANOVA, regression, distribution theory)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AWS tools like Redshift
- Experience in fraud/risk analysis or e-commerce domains
- Prior experience automating workflows with Python or Perl
- Background in statistical analysis or machine learning
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Comfortable with ambiguity and dynamic work environments
- Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement abilities
