Job Overview

KPMG India is looking for a motivated Executive to support the System of Quality Management (SoQM) team. The selected candidate will assist in planning, executing, and reporting SoQM control testing projects, collaborating with the Canadian Risk Management team. This position provides an opportunity to work in an audit-oriented environment, applying best practices in risk and quality management, and gaining exposure to international regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the planning and execution of SoQM projects.
2. Conduct testing of internal controls under the guidance of Seniors and Assistant Managers.
3. Support in documenting processes via Risk & Control Matrices, SOPs, and Flowcharts.
4. Lead walkthrough calls with business process owners.
5. Conduct preliminary testing of control design and effectiveness.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of testing outcomes.
7. Prepare reports for internal management review.
8. Participate in risk and compliance operational reviews.
9. Identify and help implement control testing best practices.
10. Collaborate with global teams, especially Canadian Risk Management.
11. Ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.
12. Assist with remediation plans for failed controls.
13. Work cross-functionally to support internal audits.
14. Contribute to continual process improvement initiatives.
15. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional conduct at all times.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Understanding of risk management and internal controls
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Good verbal and written communication
• Analytical thinking and detail orientation
• Team collaboration and adaptability
• Familiarity with SoQM or ISO-based frameworks
• Experience with operational and compliance audits (preferred)
