Job Summary

As an Engineer 1 – Software Development, you will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and testing software and web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and refine high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Development & Coding
   • Write, review, and edit high-quality code.
   • Develop software components based on technical requirements.
   • Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure software reliability.
2. Technical Documentation & Analysis
   • Research and document technical requirements, test results, and software design.
   • Maintain technical manuals for reference.
   • Analyze and integrate new technologies to improve existing systems.
3. Application Testing & Quality Assurance
   • Collaborate with QA teams to verify that applications meet technical specifications.
   • Ensure performance optimization and security compliance.
4. Industry & Competitor Analysis

1. Monitor emerging trends, competitor applications, and best practices.
2. Stay up to date with latest software development tools and methodologies.
3. Process Optimization & Engineering Best Practices
   • Apply engineering methodologies and improve software development processes.
   • Implement process redesign techniques for enhanced efficiency.
4. Collaboration & Agile Development
   • Work in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
   • Engage with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.
5. Customer-Centric Approach
   • Contribute to enhancing customer experience through innovative digital solutions.
   • Support digital transformation initiatives for seamless customer interactions.

Required Skills & Knowledge

1. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
2. Knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms for problem-solving.
3. Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
4. Understanding of software security, data protection, and best coding practices.
5. Proficiency in web application development, backend APIs, and database management.
6. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
7. Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for performance.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with modern web development frameworks (React.js, Angular, Node.js, etc.).
2. Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
3. Understanding of microservices architecture and API integration.
4. Knowledge of databases – SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
5. Hands-on experience in test-driven development (TDD) using tools like Jest, Mocha, PyTest.
