Job Overview

Elements Energy is looking for a Software Developer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications. The role involves full-stack development using JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, Node.js, and databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL. Selected candidates will work on backend services, REST APIs, application security, database optimisation, and software deployment. The company develops climate-tech solutions focused on energy, carbon, air, and water. This opportunity is suitable for fresh graduates and candidates with up to two years of experience who want to build practical software skills while contributing to sustainability-focused products.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using JavaScript, React.js, and Next.js.
  2. Build reusable user interface components and maintain frontend architecture.
  3. Develop REST APIs and integrate frontend applications with backend services.
  4. Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  5. Develop backend services, business logic, and API integrations.
  6. Work with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
  7. Design database schemas and write optimised SQL queries.
  8. Apply database concepts such as indexing, normalisation, and transactions.
  9. Implement secure authentication, authorisation, and role-based access control.
  10. Identify and fix vulnerabilities such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting.
  11. Follow OWASP security guidelines and secure coding practices.
  12. Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
  13. Debug application issues and improve software reliability.
  14. Optimise frontend performance, API response times, and database queries.
  15. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintenance.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. Candidates with 0–2 years of experience are eligible.
  3. Relevant internships and practical projects may be considered.
  4. Applicants should have demonstrable experience building web applications or full-stack projects.
