Job Overview
Société Générale is hiring an Analyst for its SG Global Solution Centre in Chennai. The role focuses on handling Trade Finance documents and transactions in French for European regions. The selected candidate will work on export and import Letters of Credit, documentary collections, guarantees, financing transactions, SWIFT messages, and related compliance activities. The role also involves meeting daily service levels, maintaining transaction accuracy, supporting senior team members, and learning different Trade Finance products.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrutinize and process Trade Finance documents in French for European regions.
- Handle export Letter of Credit transactions including advising, amendments, confirmations, transfers, negotiations, and settlements.
- Support LC forfaiting, LC discounting, FX loans, reimbursement claims, and related payments.
- Handle import Letter of Credit processes including issuance, amendments, negotiations, and import financing.
- Process reimbursement authorizations, honors, acceptances, and payments.
- Handle documentary and clean collection transactions.
- Process guarantee issuances, amendments, advising, claims, book-offs, and commission collections.
- Review and process export and import LC transactions accurately.
- Handle compliance and sanctions-related transactions with appropriate priority.
- Work with different types of SWIFT messages.
- Complete daily workflows within the required timelines.
- Escalate pending transactions to Senior Analysts or Leads with updated reasons.
- Process transactions according to the required Service Level Agreements.
- Raise technical queries and discrepancies with Senior Analysts or Leads.
- Keep the team updated on operational procedures and special practices.
- Support the maintenance and regular updating of standard operating procedures.
- Act as a backup for Senior Analysts or Leads when required.
- Attend training programs and learn about additional Trade Finance products.
- Participate in team training related to process and procedural updates.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be 2024 or 2025 pass-outs.
- Candidates should have no academic backlogs.
- A B.Com, BBA, or B.A. degree is required.
- Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak French.
- French B1 or B2 certification is required.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 70% aggregate marks across 10th, 12th, and Graduation.
- Basic knowledge of Trade Finance Operations is required.
- Candidates should be willing to work in different shifts, especially European timings.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines is expected.
- Candidates should be comfortable working as part of a team.
