Job Overview

Mindtickle is hiring a Software Engineer, Business Systems in Pune to build and operate integrations, data pipelines, automations, internal tools, and AI-backed workflows. The role connects important business systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, HRMS, Slack, Google Workspace, and Google Cloud. The engineer will own technical solutions from design and development to deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Build integrations between different business applications and systems.
  2. Develop data pipelines and automation solutions for business teams.
  3. Build internal tools and lightweight services based on defined requirements.
  4. Develop AI-backed workflows and agents where they provide a suitable solution.
  5. Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions independently.
  6. Take ownership of production systems and ensure they remain reliable.
  7. Monitor applications, configure alerts, and respond to production incidents.
  8. Troubleshoot issues across different systems and identify the root cause.
  9. Improve the observability and documentation of existing automations.
  10. Build technical prototypes to evaluate integration feasibility and vendor capabilities.
  11. Conduct technical evaluations related to performance, security, and integrations.
  12. Support data migrations, field mapping, cutover scripts, and system replacements.
  13. Work with Product Managers and Business Systems Analysts to understand defined requirements.
  14. Deploy applications and services using Google Cloud technologies.
  15. Develop and maintain REST and GraphQL API integrations, webhooks, and event-driven workflows.
  16. Document technical solutions, design decisions, and operational procedures.
  17. Ship meaningful capabilities to production with appropriate monitoring and runbooks.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates should have 2–4 years of professional experience building software, integrations, or automations.
  2. Strong professional experience with Python is required.
  3. Candidates should have practical experience working with APIs.
  4. Experience building integrations with SaaS APIs is required.
  5. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms is expected, with GCP preferred.
  6. Candidates should understand authentication, rate limits, retries, pagination, webhooks, and event-driven systems.
  7. Candidates should have experience taking ownership of software from development through production support.
  8. Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple connected systems is required.
  9. Candidates should be comfortable learning unfamiliar technologies and delivering solutions quickly.
  10. Strong written communication skills are required for technical documentation and runbooks.

  15. AI-assisted development and modern AI tooling.
  16. AI agents, agentic workflows, and MCP servers are an added advantage.
  17. Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, HRMS, ITSM, or other business systems is an added advantage.
  18. BigQuery, ETL/ELT, and Infrastructure-as-Code knowledge is a plus.
