Job Overview
Oracle is hiring a Support Engineer 1 to support and maintain the Oracle Health Patient Accounting application. The role focuses on troubleshooting, application enhancements, workflow testing, incident management, and supporting financial solutions used by healthcare organizations. The selected candidate will work with internal teams and clients to investigate issues, implement improvements, document resolutions, and maintain application performance. This is an individual contributor role suitable for candidates with 0–2 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, enhance, and support the Oracle Health Patient Accounting application.
- Troubleshoot application issues and investigate reported problems.
- Gather information and use troubleshooting tools to identify the cause of issues.
- Test workflows internally and externally to validate solutions.
- Respond to enhancement requests from users.
- Manage, build, and implement application changes through established change control processes.
- Optimize solutions to meet client requirements and contractual obligations.
- Prioritize work based on issue severity and urgency.
- Balance client requirements with business priorities when handling support issues.
- Collaborate with different teams to ensure issues are handled by the appropriate resources.
- Document investigation activities, resolutions, and other important information.
- Create and maintain knowledge articles throughout the investigation lifecycle.
- Act as a focal point for the team when required.
- Represent the team in internal or client meetings.
- Participate in scheduled on-call support for critical client issues.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Care Administration, or a related field.
- Candidates with equivalent relevant work experience may also be considered.
- Experience required is 0–2 years.
- Candidates should have a technical background supported by education or relevant experience.
- Candidates should have an interest in healthcare technology and application support.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities are required.
- Candidates must be able to work the specified evening/night schedule.
- Candidates must be available to participate in scheduled on-call rotations for critical issues.
- English language proficiency is required for reading, writing, and speaking.
