Job Overview

Siemens Gamesa is hiring an Intern – Software Development and Testing for its Technology team in Bangalore. The role involves supporting software development, testing, automation, documentation, and data analysis activities. Candidates will work with engineering teams on MATLAB and Python programming, controller validation, CI/CD processes, and software testing. The position is suitable for engineering students who have an interest in programming, testing, automation, and renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in designing and programming functions using MATLAB and Python.
  2. Support automated reporting and controller validation workflows.
  3. Test and validate new and existing software tools.
  4. Check software functionality and reliability.
  5. Work with engineers to identify and resolve software issues.
  6. Help improve tool performance based on user feedback and project requirements.
  7. Support automated build and testing processes.
  8. Assist with CI/CD procedure improvements.
  9. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for software tools.
  10. Create user guides and development notes when required.
  11. Support the preparation of data analysis reports.
  12. Help create technical presentations for engineering reviews.
  13. Assist in preparing controller certification documents.
  14. Collaborate with engineering team members on development activities.
  15. Contribute to continuous improvement of software development and testing processes.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Candidates should be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree such as B.Tech in the 3rd or 4th year.
  2. M.Tech students in the 1st year can also apply.
  3. Preferred engineering disciplines include Control & Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related fields.
  4. No prior professional experience is required.
  5. Academic or personal project experience in relevant programming languages is valuable.
  6. Candidates should have good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Good written and spoken communication skills are required.
  8. Candidates should be willing to learn and work collaboratively with engineering teams.
